About Studio Wildflower
Studio Wildflower is rooted in a deep love for creativity, community, and the belief that art should feel welcoming, meaningful, and alive.
The gallery was originally founded in 2017 by Jacque Palomaki and Chip Newton under the name Florida Wildflower Studios. With care and intention, they created a space where artists felt encouraged, supported, and inspired—a true creative home that has touched many lives. Their vision laid a beautiful foundation, and the spirit they cultivated continues to bloom.
Now in new hands, the gallery enters its next chapter as Studio Wildflower. While the name has changed, the heart remains the same. This rebranding reflects both continuity and growth—honoring what has been built while allowing room for new ideas, new energy, and new possibilities.
Alexa Berrong
Alexa Berrong is an oil painter and educator. Originally from Hartwell, Georgia, she now calls Frostproof, Florida. home. Her work is rooted in a deep fascination with human connection, spirituality, and the idea of universal oneness. Through symbolic portraiture, she blends elements of nature, creating pieces that reflect both individuality and shared humanity.
Alexa is the current steward of Studio Wildflower, where she continues to build upon a thoughtfully created foundation while guiding the space into its next chapter. She cultivates a welcoming and inspiring environment for others to explore their creativity, offering oil painting classes that are approachable, engaging, and open to all skill levels. Her teaching encourages students to release perfection and reconnect with the joy of creating.
Her path as an artist is shaped by both discipline and curiosity. Whether painting in the studio, leading classes, or envisioning new ways to bring people together through art, her mission remains the same: to inspire others to slow down, create with intention, and pursue their own creative calling.
Outside of painting, Alexa is also a welder and content creator, bringing a hands-on, multifaceted perspective to her work. She is continuously building a life centered around art, freedom, and meaningful connection, with the long-term vision of creating a home and studio space that supports both her personal practice and a thriving creative community.
